Canal & Richvale - D-Pryde Album Review

What’s good? Sorry it took so long to post something other than the horoscopes. Also sorry that I haven’t posted one today. I’m thinking weather or not to continue those but whatever. On to the review.

Canal & Richvale - D-Pryde

D-Pryde is an asian rapper, who is super trill and insanely talented. This is his first album, which came out during the summer of 2013.

Lifted

This song just gives me positive vibes. This is a summer song. Straight summer vibin’.
I love how this song starts out with a reference to biggie:

“I stay murder down to my socks, outfit killa”

I’m really impressed by how hard he actually goes in this song. This song makes me so happy. This will instantly brighten your day.
I also like the how the hook is basically him saying “Turn up” in a fancier way.
This song is just about feeling good and being happy.

Chinatown

This song is about the place he’s from I’m guessing. This is the D-Pryde that I like. He has this unique flow and style on this song. It’s trill. Another catchy hook. The beat is just great. This song makes me want to go and do stuff.

Proud

This is a deep song about how he wants to make people proud of him. He talks about his experiences in his earlier life and about where he wants to go in life. I like the beat in this song and the general feel of it.

Nightmare

This song is sad as hell. It’s about how he broke up with his girl and how he feels all alone. He talks about how he has all these fake friends and is just basically living in a nightmare. He’s saying that the fame he has made his life a nightmare. His raps are really good in this song and so is the beat, it’s just like I said super sad.

Faded

This is my favorite song off of the album. The beat is so dope and Prizzy completely destroys it. It’s a song about how his life changed so much because of his newfound fame. The bass in this song is super good. For me this is a hype song, even though it has a kind of sad topic. The only thing I don’t like is that the hook sounds kind of weird, like the audio effects on it.

Love Drunk

I love the way this song sounds. The beat is good and the way his delivery on this song is dope. It’s another sad song though, this time about how he can’t get over the fact that him and his girl broke up. This song goes hard as hell even though it’s about a sad subject.

Ridin’ Thru LA feat August Rigo

This song is about how he comes to LA from his native land of Canada and how he isn’t used to all of the American things.I like this song, but it’s nothing too special.

I would give this album a 7/10. It’s not bad at all, he has better songs though that aren’t on the album.
I'm sorry this review isn't all that, I'm out of the review game right now.
